Libretto by W.S. Gilbert
Music by Arthur Sullivan

An engaging comedy of misunderstandings, exaggerated loyalties, and tender-hearted pirates, Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance is perfect for the whole family. Young Frederic assumes his servitude to the pirate ship is complete when he meets the lovely Mabel, a daughter of the bumbling Major General Stanley. An untimely revelation threatens his newfound love and a return to the ship. Audiences will recognize the often parodied Modern Major General’s song and enjoy the tuneful score shared by the large choruses of pirates and General Stanley’s daughters.

Frederic – David Blalock
Mabel – Jeni Houser
Major General Stanley – Curt Olds
The Pirate King – Peter Kendall Clark
