SYMPHONIC MASQUERADE: An Evening on the Water

Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra
Peter Wilson, Music Director

Join us for an unforgettable evening of music inspired by rivers, oceans, and the mysteries beneath the waves. This year’s Symphonic Masquerade sets sail with sweeping film scores and beloved concert classics — from the grandeur of Strauss’s Blue Danube Waltz and Handel’s Water Music, to the cinematic power of Horner’s Titanic Suite, Williams’ Jaws, and Silvestri’s Cast Away.

Maestro Peter Wilson will serve as your skipper for this exciting voyage, and the concert will feature world-renowned cellist Jennifer Kloetzel performing Whitacre’s The River Cam and celebrated baritone Kevin Bennear singing Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Some Enchanted Evening” from South Pacific and Mancini’s “Moon River.” In addition, the WSO will perform Rodgers’ Victory at Sea as well as swashbuckling music from Pirates of the Caribbean. So don your finest mask and set sail with us for an evening on the water — in support of the Waynesboro Symphony.
