2025-26 Arts Education Season
We are thrilled to offer our 2025-26 season of Arts Education programming (see listing below) and hope that you will take advantage of these high-quality educational and enriching programs! We know that when students enter this historic Theater, for many it is their first exposure to live theater; a powerful human experience that can be life-changing and it is one they all deserve to know. We look forward to welcoming back school communities to experience TOGETHER the transformative power of the arts!
- Registration for the season will open on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 12:00PM.
- Orders for all performances may be submitted at any time throughout the season. Because many performances sell out quickly, early registration is strongly recommended.

- To learn more about a production and to Register, click LEARN MORE on the title(s) of interest featured below.

How do I register my school group (public, private, or homeschool) to attend Arts Education performances at The Paramount?
For your school group to attend Arts Education performances, you must register online for each event. There is a separate registration link for Groups smaller than 150 and for Groups larger than 150.
Please note that Groups smaller than 150 will be prompted to create an account during checkout or check out as a guest. For public and private schools, whether creating an account or checking out as a guest, please use your school email address and not a personal email. Communication from the Box Office will follow to confirm receipt of your reservation request. This communication will include a link to the Supplemental Information Form. This Supplemental Information form must be submitted for your registration to be considered complete.
All reserved seating is determined by the Box Office to ensure all groups can sit together and that special needs seating requests are accommodated.
What is the ticket price for students and teachers?
Tickets for all students and teachers/adult chaperones are $8.50.
Having trouble with your order?
Please contact Education and Outreach Assistant, Catherine Ratliff, at 434-218-4556 or catherineratliff@theparamount.net.
What if I am placed on a Waiting List? If a show is sold out, can I be added to a Waiting List?
You will be notified when you receive your registration status if your group is placed on the Waiting List for a performance. You may request to be removed from the waitlist or added to a different performance at any point. The Paramount will contact you when/if enough space opens to accommodate your group.
If a performance is listed as “sold out” on the website, you may submit a Wait List registration online and will be sent a Wait List confirmation via email.
If seats should become available, groups on the Wait List will be notified. Requests will be filled in the order in which they were received and as space allows.
Is there a limit to the number of adults that may attend a performance?
A maximum of 1 adult for 10 students and a minimum of 1 adult for 20 students is required. If your group requires additional supervision beyond 1 adult per 10 students, please explain in the Special Needs section of your registration.
Home school families may have 1 adult per household in attendance.
May our bus driver or parents attend the performance?
If your bus driver is also serving as a supervising chaperone, he/she may be included in your ticket request. If there are extenuating circumstances, please contact the Box Office. Otherwise, we are unable to accommodate bus drivers.
As space is limited and the Arts Education Program is designed to serve students and teachers, we are unable to open ticket sales to parents.
Are there any age restrictions for the performances?
Arts Education performances are for ages 4 and up. Unless otherwise specified, we request that you do not bring children under the age of 4 years old to any show, including infants.
Grade level recommendations
Grade level recommendations for each performance are made by the performance companies in conjunction with The Paramount Theater’s staff and Education Committee. If you have any questions about grade level recommendations or wish to bring students outside the recommended grade levels, please contact Cathy von Storch, Education & Outreach Manager at 434.293.1000 or cathyvonstorch@theparamount.net.
How does The Paramount accommodate those with special needs?
The Paramount offers accessible seating arrangements, an elevator serving all levels of the complex, accessible public restrooms facilities, and sign language interpretation (when requested at least one month in advance).
If a teacher, student, or chaperone requires special services or seating, wheelchair or other, or if you will be accompanied by a service professional who needs consideration for the show, please indicate in the Special Needs section of your registration and we will accommodate accordingly.
If you need to request ASL services, please note that requests must be received at least 4-5 weeks in advance. Please contact Education and Outreach Assistant, Catherine Ratliff, at 434-218-4556 or catherineratliff@theparamount.net for more information.
Does The Paramount provide financial assistance?
Thanks to generous funding from grants, sponsors, and individual donors, The Paramount is able to offer some financial assistance to students who qualify based on need. (Please request funding only if there are no school, PTO, or other community funds to support these students.) We strongly suggest you submit a Financial Assistance form at the time of your registration. A link to the form can be found on the right-hand side of each event page (available August 19).
When is my payment due?
Payment may be made any time before the specified due date, which is generally three weeks out from the performance date.
The Paramount accepts checks payable to The Paramount Theater and credit cards. Specific payment details are included on all invoices.
If payment has not already been received by two weeks out from the payment due date, a reminder will be sent at that time to the email provided on your registration form.
Changes to reservations after registration
Please send any change requests of the number of students or teachers as soon as possible to the Education and Outreach Assistant, Catherine Ratliff, at catherineratliff@theparamount.net.
Any reductions in number of students and/or teachers must be approved by the Box Office before the payment due date.
You may request additional seats up to 2 days before the performance by contacting the Box Office. We will do our best to fulfill your request.
Cancellations
Cancellations must be requested before the payment due date of the performance. If you need to cancel your reservation, please email the Education and Outreach Assistant, Catherine Ratliff, at catherineratliff@theparamount.net by the payment due date.
What happens if the artist is unable to perform and the performance is cancelled? (inclement weather, COVID, etc.)
Schools unable to attend due to school closures will be sent a full refund.
If The Paramount has to cancel the show in the event of inclement weather, The Paramount staff will communicate with attending schools as soon as possible. The Paramount will make every attempt possible to find a mutually agreeable/available date with the artists for them to return and offer the performance on another date. If a new date is scheduled but your school is unable to attend, a full refund will be sent. If The Paramount is unable to re-schedule, a full refund will be sent.
Show Day Essentials - Before You Arrive
Please be sure to review these documents before attending the show!
