Cavalier Symphony Orchestra (CSO) is the only student-run orchestra at the University of Virginia, and our mission is to provide a space for students to play music in an environment that fosters the student musician experience. Our members and executive board have worked incredibly hard this semester to prepare for our Fall 2025 concert: Horizons. Our program features an exciting and diverse repertoire, including Beethoven’s Overture to Egmont, Hans Zimmer’s Run Free from the Motion Picture Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Peter Boyer’s Rolling River (Sketches on Shenandoah), and Tchaikovsky’s Marche Slav. Additionally, our Philharmonic Ensemble will be opening the show with Edvard Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No. 1. We look forward to sharing our music with you!

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO! The Paramount Theater is pleased to bring diverse programming to the stage and screen. The Theater does not provide advisories about subject matter for events, as sensitivities vary. Not all events may appeal to, or be appropriate for, every person. Patrons are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the shows offered in order to make informed decisions prior to purchasing tickets.

In addition to show synopses, trailers, and reviews on our web events, other resources about content and age-appropriateness for specific films can be found on Common Sense MediaIMDb, and DoesTheDogDie.com as well as through general internet searches.
